CHICAGO – A runway at O’Hare International Airport in Chicago was closed after a plane caught fire, the Federal Aviation Administration said in a tweet.

The FAA said an American Airlines Boeing 767 blew a tire, which caught fire and spread to the wing of the plane, just before takeoff.

All passengers made it out of the plane on the emergency inflatable slides and are safe.

No serious injuries have been reported.

The plane was flying from Chicago to Miami.
