Camp Floyd State Park

Paranormal Investigation of the Ghosts of Camp Floyd
Is Camp Floyd haunted? The public is invited to participate in a paranormal investigation of Camp Floyd. Because of the popularity of this program, three sessions will be conducted this year with each date limited to 40 participants.
Participants are encouraged to view the museums at Camp Floyd during the day light beginning at 6 pm, with the event starting at 7pm and ending at 9pm. Participants are encouraged to bring their own flash lights, camera cables, film, digital and infrared cameras where park staff will assist participants in the use of their equipment in finding paranormal orbs, mists and sounds.
A brief presentation will be conducted to familiarize participants with paranormal investigating techniques and findings as the investigation starts. All participants will be invited to present their findings at the conclusion of the investigation, and will have the opportunity of viewing photographs along with other paranormal evidence gathered at this historic site.

A unique tour where you are led from room to room in the 1857 Territorial Statehouse with candle in hand to hear haunting stories and get to look at the creepiest artifacts pulled from the vaults especially for the tour.

Family Friendly Fall Festival (with All Day Fun and Spooky Events) at Fremont Indian State Park
October 28 & 29, 2016

Activities on Friday Oct. 28
• Haunted Hike: Delight in a quarter mile loop of terror on our Parade of Rock art path! The path begins at the flag pole and loops you behind the museum and back. Ghosts, goblins and ghouls will haunt you as you make your way around. The haunted hike is paved and is accessible for strollers and wheelchairs. Younger kids are recommended to come during daylight hours, the haunted hike becomes scarier after sunset. (4pm-9pm)
• Pumpkin Carving, Games, and Face Painting are from (4pm-9pm).
• Trunk or Treat (6pm-9pm)
Haunted Hike $2.00 per person
All other activities are included in your park day use fee.

Activities on Saturday Oct. 29
Zombie Fun Run 5k, 3.10 miles. Walking dead zombies that will jump at the chance to startle you! Beware you will thrown you off your pace, and guaranteed to run your fastest! Enjoy yourself, get scared, and have fun on our dirt Centennial trail with gradual peaks and valleys in beautiful fall colors.
Register early by calling the park @ 435-527-4631 and paying with a credit or debit card.
Entry fee includes a t-shirt, water and snack back for all runners (9am-10am). Meet at the visitor center parking lot between 8:15-8:45am for registration. Race begins promptly at 9am.
Games, Face Painting, Pumpkin Carving (10am-2pm)
Cost: Haunted Hike $2 a person. Zombie Run: $15 before or on Oct. 24th, $17 after the 24th. You can register for the Zombie Run by calling the park.
All other activities are included in your park day use fee. Join us for this family-friendly fun, with activities for all ages! Activities include face painting, haunted hike, zombie run, haunted hike, bean bag jack-o-lantern toss, pumpkin carving, and funny themed pictures. Campgrounds available to stay the entire festival. Sam Stowe Campground offers full hook-ups and coin operated showers. Castle Rock campground is filled with lots of trees in full Autumn colors.
