EMERY COUNTY, Utah – Authorities have destroyed explosives found in Emery County.

A landowner salvaging wood between Cleveland and Elmo found what he thought might be explosives in a burlap sack and called authorities.

The bomb squad was called out and used a robot to retrieve and destroy the materials from the collapsed building.

No one was injured.

Authorities are reminding residents to always call 911 if you see something suspicious.

Deputies said you should never try to take care of the problem on your own.
