LAS VEGAS -- On Wednesday night Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump will face off for their final presidential debate.

Utah finds itself in an unusual place this election year. Normally a red state, this year it's been declared a "toss up" in various polls.

Trump is polling lower than Republicans traditionally do and it's now a race between him, Clinton and Independent candidate Evan McMullin.

Both Utah Republicans and Democrats believe their candidate will perform well in this third debate.

Utah Republican party chairman James Evans believes Trump will perform well at Wednesday night's debate.

“I think he's going to do very well. He has two debates under his belt. One thing, he learns from his past actions,” Evans said.

Democrats are banking on another strong performance from Clinton in the final presidential debate of the campaign.

“She's smart. Bill Clinton has told me personally how much smarter she is than he is. So, I think she'll do very well,” said Bruce Bastian, a Clinton donor in Utah.

Despite a number of high-profile state Republicans abandoning Trump over his crude remarks on women, the state party is sticking with him. Evans thinks Utah voters will ultimately stick with the Republican nominee.

“I believe it's going to go trump,” Evans said. “I feel good about the fact it's going to go Trump. We recognize it has nothing to do with Hillary. It's more about Republicans getting to that point where they're saying, while I'm frustrated with Trump I'm going to vote for him.”

The topics of the debate will be debt and entitlements, the economy, immigration, the Supreme Court, foreign policy and fitness to be president.

Tomorrow night's debate is the third and final presidential debate before the November election. It starts at 6 p.m.
