Fire damages vacant Rose Park house

SALT LAKE CITY — A house in Salt Lake City’s Rose Park neighborhood sustained thousands of dollars in damage in a fire early Monday morning.

Fire crews responded to the house, near 400 N 800 W, shortly before 5:30 a.m.

The homeowner told FOX 13 the house had been vacant since last month. The cause of the fire is under investigation and damage is estimated at $10,000.
