Eugene Swalberg with Utah State Parks shares fun alternatives to tent camping. Many of Utah's state parks have small cabins and yurts available for rent. Most of them rent for about $60/night, which comes out to be about $10 per person because they sleep up to six people. However, they are getting popular so if you would like to stay, try and reserve as far in advance as possible.

The following locations offer rentals:

  • Wasatch Mountain State Park
  • Jordanelle State Park
  • Yuba State Park
  • Hyrum State Park
  • East Canyon State Park
  • Starvation State Park
