SUMMIT COUNTY, Utah -- A brush fire near Marion led to a temporary call for voluntary evacuations, but the blaze is now contained.

Several homes in Marion, a small town in Summit County near Kamas, received a notice to evacuate voluntarily  as crews battled a brush fire on 4.5 acres. The fire began around 1:30 p.m.

As of just before 5 p.m. Sunday, crews had the fire contained. The blaze is believed to be human caused, but it is unclear if the fire was intentionally set or the result of an accident.

Fire crews said residents in several homes on a road nearest the fire were told they could evacuate if they felt the need, but they said it appears all elected to remain in their homes.

A plane was called in to drop retardant on the blaze.

There were no reports of injury.
