MIDVALE, Utah — Police have a suspect in custody after shots were fired at a vehicle in Midvale Thursday evening, and one person suffered minor injuries from broken glass.
The shooting occurred in the area of 6900 South and 200 East in Midvale around 5:40 p.m.
Lt. Lex Bell of the Unified Police Department said two parties were involved in some kind of dispute involving a stolen gun. A suspect discharged several rounds from a gun as one group fled the area in a vehicle.
Bullets struck the car’s engine, radiator and windows. The vehicle was disabled. No one was struck by the gunfire, but at least one person suffered some minor cuts from the glass that was broken during the incident.
The name of the suspect in custody has not been released.
