SALT LAKE COUNTY, Utah — A hiker missing overnight has been found after she walked up to police command post Sunday morning.
Det. Ken Hansen with Unified police said family called authorities at about 5:30 p.m. on Saturday to report the 65-year-old woman had not returned from a day’s hike. The last text family received was that she had reached Thayne’s Canyon Trail.
Search and rescue and the DPS helicopter were dispatched to search for the woman but were unable to locate her. The search resumed this morning but was called off after the woman walked into the command post.
The woman suffered a broken wrist, according to a tweet from UPD.
