SLC police seek bank robbery suspect who fled on bicycle

SALT LAKE CITY — Police in Salt Lake City are asking for help identifying a man who allegedly robbed a bank Wednesday afternoon.

According to the Salt Lake City Police Department, the man entered a Zions Bank at 701 East 400 South and demanded money.

The man received an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the area eastbound via 400 South on a silver mountain bike.

The suspect, pictured above, is described as a white male between the ages of 50 and 60. He stands an estimated 6-feet tall and weighs about 200 pounds. He was wearing a Sportsmans Warehouse ball cap in a camouflage design along with a University of Utah T-shirt and cut-off denim shorts.

Anyone who recognizes the man or who sees him is asked to call police at 801-799-3000. Anonymous tips can also be sent via text to 274637. Tipsters should begin their text with the keyword: TIPSLCPD.
