SYDNEY — A teenage girl who was wanted by police after she escaped a detention center in Australia apparently responded to a social media post about her status, and she very politely asked them to use a different photo.

Amy Sharp even provided a preferred photo to 7 News Sydney, and the comment earned her thousands of likes. It may have also contributed to her arrest, as Sharp is now behind bars once more.

Sharp escaped from the Surry Hills Corrective Services Cell Complex on August 19, and Wednesday 7 News Sydney posted a police statement along with two photos of Sharp. The post states she was incarcerated for property offenses.

Apparently unimpressed, Sharp replied with another photo and asked that they use that one instead. Her comment amassed thousands of likes, see the screen capture below.

While the teen has earned herself some Internet fame, she’s also earned another stint behind bars. She was arrested a few days later and is expected to face new charges.
