LifeFlight responds to teen injured in fall on Mount Timpanogos

UTAH COUNTY — A 13-year-old boy was hurt in a fall on Mount Timpanogos Saturday, and while his injuries were not serious a LifeFlight helicopter responded to the scene.

Sgt. Spencer Cannon of the Utah County Sheriff’s Office said the teen fell Saturday morning in the area of Mount Timpanogos, but it wasn’t clear how far he fell.

Search and rescue units responded along with a LifeFlight helicopter. The boy was taken off the mountain via helicopter, and he was then transported to American Fork Hospital via ground ambulance.

His injuries are not serious, Cannon stated. Video posted by Cannon shows the helicopter landing at the scene.
