BATON ROUGE, La. — The rescue of woman and her small dog from a sinking car during the flooding in Louisiana was captured on video.
Rescuers came across the woman who was stuck in the sinking car in Baton Rouge, Saturday.
They tried to break a car window, but they couldn’t. So one of the rescuers jumped into the water and pulled her out, just before her car went under.
But she then told the rescuer that her dog was still in the vehicle.
Other emergency responders said it was probably too late for her pet. However, the rescuer in the water took one more dive and came back with the dog.
Both the woman and her pup appeared to be OK.
