CLEARFIELD, Utah -- North Davis Fire crews put out a fire at Clearfield High School Thursday morning.
Just before 1 a.m., about 30 firefighters were called to the blaze at the 53-year-old high school.
Officials said the flames never entered the main building and were contained to the roof.
The school does not have a sprinkler system.
North Davis Fire Chief Mark Becraft said the area where the fire started is under construction.
Officials are investigating the cause of the fire.
School starts August 24.
