CANTON, Ohio — The Pro Football Hall of Fame Game between the Green Bay Packers and Indianapolis Colts that was scheduled for Sunday night has been canceled over concerns about the turf.
According to NFL.com, the field had recently been painted and was “slick and hard.”
FOX 6 in Ohio reports the condition of the field at Tom Benson Stadium created concerns. Tim Van Vooren of FOX 6 reports there was melted paint on the field and concerns about a level playing field.
It was not immediately clear if or when the game would be rescheduled for. The game was set to follow Saturday night’s Hall of Fame induction ceremony.
