SALT LAKE CITY — A man was taken to a hospital with minor injuries after he was shot in the head during a confrontation in Salt Lake City Saturday afternoon, and the suspect in the shooting remains on the loose.
Lt. Mike Hatch with the Salt Lake City Police Department said a confrontation broke out between two men around 1:15 p.m. near 300 East Hollywood Avenue.
One of the men pulled out a gun and shot the other man in the head one time. The victim was discovered by police in the area of 400 East Redondo Avenue, and he was transported to a hospital with minor injuries described as being not life-threatening.
Police have few details about the suspect at this point, and no one has been taken into custody. Police believe the confrontation may have been related to drugs.
