Crews repair gas leak that forced evacuations in SLC

SALT LAKE CITY — Questar Gas crews have repaired a natural gas line that was ruptured in Salt Lake City Friday morning, forcing the evacuations of two nearby homes.

According to the Salt Lake City Fire Department, the gas line was reportedly ruptured by a construction crew working in the area of 500 E 900 S shortly before 10 a.m.

The fire department reported the gas leak had been stopped shortly before 12:40.
