DAVIS COUNTY, Utah — A man is dead and a woman was injured after a crash involving a motorcycle and a car in Sunset Wednesday night.

The crash occurred area of 2300 North and Main Street in Sunset sometime around 10 p.m., and police say a car was trying to make a left turn at a light when the vehicle collided with a motorcycle carrying two people.

A man on the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene while a woman on the bike was airlifted to a hospital.

“Make sure you know what you’re doing before you make any turns,” said Lt. Bruce Arbogast of the Sunset Police Department. “If you see a single headlight coming in your direction, assume it’s a motorcycle and just wait for them.”

Main Street in Sunset was temporarily closed between about 2600 North and 900 North as a result of the incident.
