TOOELE, Utah — A Tooele man died at a hospital Sunday night after an argument with a roommate.

Tooele City Police officers responded to a home at 70 S Broadway Ave. around 9:30 p.m. after receiving a report that a man was not breathing.

Police said Christopher Warr and Monty Degelbeck, who both live at the home, had been in an altercation.

Degelbeck and his girlfriend told police that Degelbeck and Warr had engaged in an argument that escalated and became physical.  At some point, police said, Warr suffered an asthma attack and was having difficulty breathing. Degelback and Warr separated as Warr attempted to treat the asthma attack, but Warr lost consciousness.

Warr was transported to Mountain West Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Degelbeck was initially booked into the Tooele County Jail on suspicion of homicide. Police said the Tooele County Attorney reviewed the case and amended the homicide charge to manslaughter.

The case is still under investigation.
