DAGGETT COUNTY, Utah — A man from Tennessee suffered fatal injuries after striking a trailer while on a motorcycle Saturday morning.
According to the Utah Highway Patrol, the crash occurred on Little Hole Road in Daggett County around 10:50 a.m.
Garrett Barnett of Gatlinburg, Tennessee, was traveling eastbound on a motorcycle, and he rounded a corner and encountered a slower-moving Jeep towing a boat trailer.
Barnett attempted to avoid striking the trailer but was unsuccessful. The man was wearing a helmet but suffered fatal injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
UHP states speed was a factor in the crash.
