CEDAR CITY, Utah — Authorities have identified a man who was shot and killed in Cedar City Sunday morning, and the suspect’s vehicle has been spotted in Panguitch Sunday afternoon.

Cedar City police responded to the home in the Reber trailer park, 515 N. 400 West, at about 6:40 a.m. on a report of gunshots. At 9:15 a.m., authorities released a statement confirming a 34-year-old man was found dead in the residence, the St. George News reported.

The deceased was later identified as Cedar City resident Justin Hannah. Police say he died due to multiple shots from a .40-caliber handgun.

Mark Mair, 27, has been identified as the suspect in the shooting, according to St. George News. Police say the man should be considered armed and dangerous and may be in possession of a handgun, a rifle and a shotgun.

His vehicle was spotted in Panguitch Sunday just before 4 p.m. Mair may be in a car driven by a slender female with “dishwater blonde hair.” The vehicle is reportedly a tan or gold-colored sedan with four doors, possibly a Ford Taurus from the early 2000 model years.

Mair is described as a white male with brown short-cropped hair and patch of beard on his chin. He is 5-feet 7-inches tall and has a stocky build.

The investigation is ongoing. This story will be updated as more information is provided.
