BERRIEN COUNTY, Michigan – Two bailiffs and a suspect are dead after a courthouse shooting in Michigan, according to Berrien County Undersheriff Chuck Heit. One civilian and another officer were injured, Heit told CNN.

Local television stations in Michigan are reporting that at least three people are dead in a shooting at the courthouse in Berrien County.
It is unclear whether the shooter is one of the dead.
The Berrien County Sheriff’s Department earlier said a law enforcement officer was shot. Michigan State Police have secured the scene, according to a tweet from Gov. Rick Snyder.
St. Joseph is on the eastern shore of Lake Michigan, about 100 miles by car from Chicago.
