DENVER — One woman is in critical condition after a shooting in the 1500 block of Wynkoop in lower downtown Denver, Tuesday afternoon. Authorities shut down several streets in order to gain control of what they called an “active shooter incident.”
Police told KDVR FOX 31 the shooting occurred at 2:42 p.m. inside the Alliance Center, 1536 Wynkoop. The scene was secured by 3:30 p.m. Police told KDVR that public is no longer in danger.
The male suspect was found with a self-inflicted gunshot wound and the victim was found with multiple gunshot injuries, according to KDVR.
The victim appeared to be targeted, according to KDVR’s report.
