JORDANELLE STATE PARK, Utah - AQUA x ZONE is an inflatable water sports park that sits atop the Jordanelle Reservoir that allows up to 65 people to run, jump, swing and swim.

The attraction is one of only four floating water parks west of the Mississippi River, and the playground is a joint public/private partnership between AQUA x ZONE and Utah State Parks.

“It’s unlike anything you’ve probably ever done before,” said AQUA x ZONE owner Etai Timna. “It’s like a bounce house, and a trampoline park, all floating on top of the lake.”

Participants must be 6 or older, at least 48 inches tall and be able to swim. All participants are required to wear a life jacket provided by AQUA x ZONE.

Swim sessions last for 45 minutes and cost $15 for ages 6-10 and $25 for ages 11 and up.

Now through June 23 the park will be open Friday, Saturday and Sunday 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Beginning on June 24th the park will be open every day until it is too cold to swim, according to its website.

Timna said the idea of a floating water park is more common in Europe, and in Florida where he lives full-time. But he said his family spends a lot of time in Summit county and thought Jordanelle State Park would be the perfect spot. Visitor Norma Iglesias agrees.

“It looks like a blast, it looks really fun,” said Iglesias. “It reminds me of the bouncy houses on dry land, only better, and probably a little cooler right now.”
