SALT LAKE CITY -- A man is in very critical condition after a neighbor dispute led to a shooting in Salt Lake City, Friday morning.

At about 7:40 a.m., officers were called to the area of 200 East Williams Avenue on a report of shots fired. When they arrived on scene, they found a 26-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the head, according to Salt Lake police.

'There were a couple of persons inside the residence there when it occurred. There was a female at least and a male. Investigators are interviewing everyone, including all the neighbors," said Detective Dennis McGowan, Salt Lake City Police Department.

A tweet from SLCPD indicated police are interviewing a 45-year-old man in connection with the shooting. It is unknown what the dispute was about at this time.

Officials from the Utah Crime Lab also responded to the scene to gather evidence Friday morning. Police said they believe the shooting was an isolated incident. Watch FOX 13 News and fox13now.com for updates.
