Asha Parekh, Director of the Utah Refugee Services Office, gives us three ideas for helping refugees locally.
- Donate Time: The most important and best way to make a difference in the life of a refugee is to spend time with them and become their friend. There are many different community partners and programs that can help you have a safe, structured and meaningful experience.
- Donate Goods: They are always in need of the very basic items: diapers, feminine hygiene, and toiletries.
- Donate Money: All of the programs that serve refugees would not be possible without the generous support of the community.
