SANDY, Utah — Search and rescue personnel responded to an injured hiker who fell between 12 and 20 feet from a waterfall in Bell Canyon Saturday afternoon.
Lt. Lex Bell of the Unified Police Department said the man fell while hiking in the area with a woman, who is the one who contacted authorities.
FOX 13 News first heard report of the incident just after 3 p.m.
Just after 5:30 p.m., police confirmed search and rescue crews had reached the man and were able to get him off the mountain. The injured man was taken to a hospital via ambulance in fair condition.
