SALT LAKE COUNTY – Police are seeking three persons of interest in connection with a murder investigation that began when a man was found dead in Cottonwood Heights last Friday.

Police believe Mauricio Martinez died in the vicinity of Redwood Road May 27 before someone dumped his body inside a vehicle at a credit union parking lot.

Two men were observed on surveillance cameras near the area where the victim died, and police would like to speak with them.

The first man is described as a white male in his 40s who stands 6-feet 1-inch tall and weighs between 190 and 210 pounds.

The second man has darker-colored skin, and police stated he may be either Hispanic or Polynesian. He has long, braided hair and weighs about 175 pounds. He stands between 5-feet 9-inches and 6-feet tall.

“These are people that we believe are involved in this homicide, and we believe that we still have a lot of work to do on this homicide in questioning these individuals that's gonna help us resolve this,” said Det. Greg Wilking of the Salt Lake City Police Department.

Police have already arrested two people in the case, and they are also asking for the public's help in finding Jamie Clarissa George, a person of interest who is pictured above.

Anyone who recognizes the two men or sees any of the three persons of interest is asked to contact authorities. Tipsters can, “call (801) 799-3630. Anonymous tips may be sent by text to 274637.
