KEARNS, Utah — A woman suffered minor injuries when she jumped from a moving car late Saturday night.

At about 10:15 p.m., Unified police responded to a three-car accident at 4700 South and 5600 West in Kearns. The woman was one of the individuals involved in the crash.

Police asked the motorist to move her car off the roadway, but as she attempted to follow their instructions, her vehicle began to roll and was unable to control it.

“That vehicle started to roll northbound down 5600 West,” said Lt. Bill Robertson with Unified police. “She couldn’t control it so at one point she jumped out of the vehicle and it continued to roll.”

After rolling down the street, the car hit two signs and a concrete sound wall before flipping over and coming to a complete stop.

Police say the woman suffered relatively minor injuries after jumping out of her car.

The incident is under investigation.
