MOAB, Utah —  The body of a woman from Moab who was reported missing last week has been recovered in Lion Canyon near Paradox, Colorado.

According to a post from the Montrose County Sheriff’s Office Thursday night, 54-year-old Kimberly Ann Anderson Burchell has been positively identified after her body was found near Paradox, which is a few miles from the Utah-Colorado border.

San Juan County Sheriff’s Office sought help from Colorado officials May 5, as Burchell was believed to be camping in the Lion Creek area south of Buckeye Reservoir in Montrose County.

Authorities said the woman was found as a result of a successful search effort.

Police said that the cause of death is still under investigation, but they do not suspect foul play at this time.
