Power restored for more than 8,000 in Summit County

UPDATE: Rocky Mountain Power said services have been restored for all 8,000 people in Summit County.

SUMMIT COUNTY, Utah – More than 8,100 are without power in Park City and the surrounding areas, according to Rocky Mountain Power.

Officials said the outage is because of a “substation interruption” and expected to be restored by 5:30 p.m.

Authorities said they are not sure if it is weather-related or not.

Some Park City residents said the outages happened before the hail hit.
