SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Police are investigating reports of shots fired late Thursday night in the Rose Park area.
Salt lake city police say that a Unified Police Officer was heading to an assignment when he heard gunshots.
Several police units responded to 688 North Startcrest drive where they cleared a home and found nobody injured and no property damage.
People were seen fleeing the home where shots were fired so a containment area was set up.
Police say they did find bullet casings on the front porch of the property they searched.
Officials are trying to figure out why shots were fired but say some witnesses are not cooperating with them fully.
