WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah — A man was taken to an area hospital in critical condition after he was discovered outside a West Valley City apartment complex stabbed in the neck, Sunday morning.
Dispatch received a call at about 7 a.m. to Aspen Village Apartments, 3051 W. 3500 South, on a report of a possible stabbing, said Roxeanne Vainuku, spokeswoman for West Valley City police. Neighbors told police they heard fighting earlier this morning and later discovered the victim outside the building.
Witnesses later saw a dark colored SUV leave the area, according to a tweet from West Valley City police. Authorities are looking into a possible connection.
According to a tweet from West Valley City police, investigators discovered a blood trail between two buildings on the property, but no weapon has been recovered.
