Dylan Diehl was flown to an area hospital after he was pulled from a small pond. He died just before 9 p.m.

The incident occurred in the area of 2800 North Rose Park Lane at a ranch-style residence where several children were playing together on a trampoline.

The child was found in a pond on the residential property by his father, and his mother began CPR and they called for help. Responding medical personnel were able to establish a pulse, and the boy was flown to a hospital in extremely critical condition, where he later died.

"He absolutely loved everything about this world and was eager to learn how everything worked. He was always on the move and wanted whoever was close to be a part of his exploration," family wrote about Dylan on a Go Fund Me account page.

The account has been set up to help family with funeral costs.
