PROVO, Utah – BYU Vocal Point just posted this video on YouTube saying, “This is what happens when 65 Vocal Point alumni get together for a 25-year reunion! How many songs can YOU count?”

The alumni members came together for one day in March, during their 25-year anniversary weekend to rehearse, record and shoot this music video.

Co-founder of Vocal Point Bob Ahlander says the music video, shot at Timpview High School in Provo, features the top hits from each of the 25 years corresponding with the group’s existence, beginning with “Gonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now)” by C+C Music Factory from 1991.

“It was so fun to be a part of,” Ahlander said. “When we started this group, YouTube didn’t exist.”

Ahlander was in the video as well. He sings the Auto-Tuned portion of Cher’s “Believe.”

All of the singers were in charge of finding their own costumes to go with the movie director’s 1950s theme, and all of the props were built by Brigham Young University theater students.

Four different campus entities funding the video including the Vocal Point Alumni Association.

A significant “famous” alumni member also came back for the video.

Ryan Innes, who was on NBC’s “The Voice” Season 4 is featured in a boat, singing “If I Die Young” by The Band Perry.

The sole female seen in the video is Sophia Osmond, daughter of Jimmy Osmond who is of one of the Osmond brothers.

If you’re wondering how they were able to capture this all in one shot, Ahlander says the shot from the ceiling was done using a jib to pull the camera up and down.
