Rep. Mia Love ran six miles on a treadmill at VASA Fitness in support of children with autism, Tuesday.

April is National Autism Awareness month. In Utah, one in 54 children will be diagnosed with autism, according to officials at the Carmen B. Pingree Autism Center of Learning.

Last week, 16,000 autism flags were placed at Washington Square Park, 451, S. State Street, to show support for the number of children affected with autism in Utah.

Last weekend, the University of Utah lit up the George S. Eccles Legacy Bridge in blue to celebrate the month.
