Boy found safe after idling SUV he was in was stolen in Salt Lake

SALT LAKE CITY - A boy is safe after the idling SUV he was in was stolen early Wednesday morning.

Authorities said the boy's father had started the SUV to warm it up and left his 7-year-old son sleeping inside when the Nissan XTerra was stolen just before 5 a.m.

The boy has since been found safe just blocks from where he was taken, along with the vehicle, near 850 W. Elm Tree Place.

Police said they are searching for those responsible for stealing the SUV.

    I live there. I woke up to turn on my car and warm it up around 5am and a Hwp Was driving around looking for the suspect I suppose.
