SOUTH SALT LAKE, Utah -- Hundreds of refugees are getting an extra special Christmas this year.

The Granite Education Fund, which includes the Utah Refugee Center and the Refugee and Immigrant Center-Asian Association of Utah, teamed up to serve Utah's refugee families in an event they call "The Shepherd's Gathering."

Two semi-trailers stuffed with clothes and toys will go to 600 refugee families on Christmas Eve.

It was all donated by the local community. The items include everything from infant diapers to Barbie dolls, puzzles, coats, shoes and blankets among many more.
