- 1 pound ground, lean turkey
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 3/4 large onion, chopped
- 2 cups white mushrooms, sliced
- 1/4 cup low sodium barbecue sauce
- No Salt Seasoning and Pepper, to taste
In medium bowl, combine the turkey, garlic, onion powder, paprika, cumin, no salt seasoning and pepper. Form turkey into 4 (4-inch) patties. Heat grill or frying pan to medium-high; cook, turning once, until burgers are just cooked through (about 7 minutes per side).
In a large skillet brought up to medium-high heat, add the oil. Saute the onions and mushrooms with no salt seasoning and pepper for 5-6 minutes or until softened. Add barbeque sauce to the pan; cook another 1-2 minutes over medium heat. To serve, top each turkey patty with some of the barbeque, onion and mushroom mixture.
