WASATCH COUNTY, Utah – Utah Division of Wildlife Resources officers are asking anyone with information to come forward after hunters reported finding a poached doe in Wasatch County.

Authorities said muzzle-loader spike elk hunters found and reported the dead doe that appeared to have been shot.

The deer was found east of the Low Pass Road (Forest Road 106) in Wasatch County.

Investigating officers said the doe had been shot with a rifle some time after the general buck deer hunt.

Wildlife officials said evidence indicates the shooter may have observed the deer die and left it, allowing it to waste.

Anyone with information regarding the poaching of this doe can call the UTIP hotline at (800) 662-3337 or Officer Jake Greenwood at (435) 322-0599.

A reward is being offered to anyone who can provide information leading to the successful apprehension of those responsible.
