SUGAR HOUSE, Utah -- A man who had his vehicle stolen from him earlier in the day came across it Wednesday evening, and police said the suspect ran the victim over with the vehicle and fled the scene--leaving the victim in serious condition.

While the stolen vehicle has since been located and the victim's condition upgraded from serious to stable condition, the suspect is still outstanding.

It happened shortly before 5 p.m. near 1900 South 1300 East, and police said the victim's car had been stolen earlier in the day and that the victim was in the Sugar House area when he spotted his stolen vehicle.

Police said when the victim found the stolen car, he went to confront the suspect--but the suspect ran him over and then fled. The car was later located in the area of 1400 South 740 East.

Police said the suspect is a white male, 25-30 years old, with short hair and a thin build.
