LOGAN, Utah -- "Aggie nation is great, they support our players; Support them tonight too, just through prayer."

Friday night, Utah State Head Football Coach Matt Wells finds the lessons his team needs to learn are not on the field, but a lesson in life learned at a Logan Regional Hospital.

Two of his players are inside, and two more are at other local hospitals along with a former softball player. All five student athletes were in an SUV that got T-boned by a semi-truck at the intersection of Highway 23 and 142 after the SUV appears to have moved against the right of way.

"A lot of times, you don't have the right answers even as the leader, the head coach," Wells said. "You show love, you wrap your arms around kids, you show care and concern."

According to a press release from USU, the injured students include four current Utah State football players: Adewale Adeoye (R-Fr., St. Louis, Mo.); Edmund Faimalo (R-Jr., Riverside, Calif.); John Taylor (Sr., Colton, Calif.); Travis Seefeldt (Sr., Peoria, Ariz.)–and former USU softball player Sarah Vasquez (Colton, Calif.).

Senior outside linebacker Torrey Green is one of many teammates coming to the hospital. At the mention of each of his injured teammates, a smile spreads across his face. He has a message for them when they are all back together again.

"God saved your life," he said. "You know, take it for what it is, move on from it. It happens, it's in the past, you got to move on."

And Coach Wells has a lesson for his team, serving them well beyond the end zone.

"Things happen for a reason," he said. "We don't have to figure them out right now. We don't need to speculate right now. We need to love and support."
