Man wanted for kidnapping, robbery spotted in Glendale; police seek public’s help

SALT LAKE CITY – Police in Salt Lake City are asking the public for help finding a 21-year-old man wanted on warrants for aggravated kidnapping and robbery, and officers said the man was spotted Saturday afternoon in the Glendale area before he fled from police.

Alejandro Rodriguez Jr., 21, has active warrants for aggravated kidnapping as a first-degree felony and robbery as a third-degree felony.

According to the Salt Lake City Police Department, officers received information indicating the man was in the Glendale area, and an officer spotted the man around 3:20 p.m. Saturday.

Rodriguez was in a vehicle when the officer spotted him, and he quickly fled and jumped over a fence in the area of 800 West Lucy Ave. Police set up a containment but were unable to locate the suspect.

Rodriguez is described as being a 21-year-old Hispanic male who stands 5-feet 5-inches tall and weighs 120 pounds. He is pictured above and was last seen wearing a dark blue shirt.

Anyone who sees the suspect or who has knowledge of his whereabouts is asked to contact police at 801-799-3000.
