SALT LAKE CITY -- A political heavyweight and a boxing heavyweight champion of the world stepped into the ring in Salt Lake City Friday night, and the fight for a charitable cause between Mitt Romney and Evander Holyfield was a tongue-in-cheek affair.

The bout between Romney and Holyfield was one of several fights on the card at Friday night's event, which was held by Charity Vision to raise funds to help provide eye surgeries to people in need in developing countries.

There was plenty of comedy and showmanship on display, as Romney walked out to reveal he was wearing a full suit beneath his boxing robe. A leather belt carrying former Utah Gov. Mike Leavitt was part of Romney's enthusiastic corner, and the former Massachusetts Governor and presidential candidate had a big grin on his face for most of the contest--which raised roughly $1 million for charity.

Romney even sent Holyfield to the mat at one point, but later Holyfield was chasing Romney around the ring. Romney's corner threw in the towel after the second round. After the fight Romney let loose with some political jabs targeting Harry Reid, Hillary Clinton and Democrats in general. See the video below for his quips.
