Officials lifted the “Do-Not-Drink” order Tuesday morning.

Residents have not been able to drink their water or use it for cooking for about a week.

The city said on its website:

“Before resuming normal use, residents, schools, churches or businesses must ensure they have first flushed the water pipes in their homes and buildings. If not already done, the City encourages them to do so as soon as possible using instructions provided by the city. That process only needs to be completed once.”

Officials also said some sediment or sandy-type materials may appear in residents’ sinks and tubs.

Nibley City crews said this is a normal occurrence because of the amount of flushing in the area.

Authorities are encouraging residents to sign up for its community alert system here.
