LAKE ZURICH, Ill. — An Illinois 12-year-old has won ESPN’s Bracket Challenge–ahead of 11.57 million others. Technically, he tied for first place, but still it’s an impressive feat.

Sam Holtz had Duke winning the whole thing— which they did last night, beating Wisconsin 68-63.

Like any good friends would, the 6th grader’s friends helped him celebrate:

According to ESPN’s website, the grand prize drawing is only open to legal U.S. citizens who were 18-years or older as of the date of the entry. According to our sister station, he used his dad’s e-mail (and had dad’s permission) to sign up for the challenge. It’s unclear if he will be eligible for the drawing for the grand prize ($20,000 Best Buy gift card and a trip to the 2015 Maui Invitational).

Here’s a look at his bracket.
