SALT LAKE CITY -- March is Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month, and medical experts are touting the benefits of a colonoscopy exam when it comes to preventing colon cancer. The procedure is especially important for patients over the age of 50, and doctors say modern procedures mean the experience isn't the awful ordeal some may assume it to be.

In Thursday's edition of Booming Forward, Dave Nemeth uses personal experience to demonstrate a colonoscopy exam is nothing to be worried about, and Dr. Walter Medlin from Salt Lake Regional Medical Center joined Dave in the studio to discuss the symptoms of colon cancer and the importance of getting an exam.
