SALT LAKE CITY -- It was a big day for University of Utah medical students, as Friday was Match Day and fourth-year students learned where they would be finishing their training to become doctors.
For the past few weeks, the students have been submitting applications to various hospitals across the country where they would like to complete their residencies.
Friday, a ceremonial ribbon cutting was held before students began opening the match letters, which revealed where the students will be going. Students will be heading to hospitals all over the country, including locations in Pennsylvania, Minnesota, New Mexico and other states.
