SALT LAKE CITY -- The Executive Vice President of the National Rifle Association was in Salt Lake City Friday night, where he was the keynote speaker at the Western Hunting and Conservation Exposition.

Wayne LaPierre spoke to a packed room at the Salt Palace Convention Center, and he said he has never seen an election where hunters and gun owners had a bigger impact. He said those individuals gave their time and effort, and he said those who went out to the polls to support gun rights and the NRA, "dealt President Obama a huge setback" and "made a huge difference for freedom."

FOX 13 News' Kiersten Nuñez was present at the event, and she spoke with several Utahns about their reactions to LaPierre's remarks. See the video above for her report.
