SALT LAKE CITY – Authorities are investigating after a man was found shot in the chest in Salt Lake City.
Officials were called to a convenience store on Indiana Ave. near 1350 W. at about 11:30 a.m. Tuesday.
According to police, the victim walked into the store and told the clerk he was having a heart attack.
The clerk called 911 and emergency crews discovered the man had been shot in the chest.
Emergency crews said the man is expected to survive.
Police said the man was not cooperating with authorities.
Officials did not say if the man had been shot at the convenience store or somewhere else.
The man’s name and condition have not been confirmed at this time.
